History

The Community Campus Coalition was formed in September 2004 as a result of recommendations from the third Community/Campus/Student Leader Forum.  This Forum was sponsored by Advocating Safe Alternatives for Peers (ASAP), a University of Georgia student organization.  The creation of the CCC was funded by a grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).  The Coalition is developing plans of action through working committees to accomplish the mission of the organization.
